SpeedART Porsche 997 Turbo Tuning – a really lethal blade!

There are many pure sporting cars in the world. Everyday advance of technology provides even faster and more powerful vehicles. Maybe that’s why these cars are more and more in demand. There’s nothing better than be seated in a sporting bucket, turn on 500 wild horses under the hood and drive wherever you want. Of course, the sports cars are here only for one reason – to show perfect Technologies of its creators and to entertain its owners. The sports cars are here thanks to people with sporting blood in their veins and not worried to show their real passion and love. We can enjoy these beautiful masterpieces because of work of automotive celebrities such as Enzo Ferrari, Ferdinand Porsche, Ferruccio Lamborghini or Karl Benz. But there are also people that don’t have enough power and they’re finding new ways to satisfy their need for speed. This is the case of German professional SpeedArt working on famous Porsche vehicles with its newest work – more powerful Porsche 911 called 997 Turbo.

PORSCHE 911 TURBO MODEL 997

SpeedART Porsche 997 Turbo
I’ve recently seen some chart on German TV about the most favorite cars in the world.

There were names such as Nissan Skyline, Mercedes-Benz 300SL and etc., but the most surprising was the name of this winner – the first place of Porsche 911 around the year 1975.

The car with its toughness, simple sporting interior, powerful engines and great workmanship conquered all other famous vehicles. But time has come, so today we can enjoy the legend’s next successor of famous Porsche family.

In 2006, the Porsche 997 Turbo was introduced in Geneva and it’s a successor of the famous Porsche 911. Its design from the Porsche 996 was restructured to look of a real racer.

Distinctive lines, suction openings, rear wing, LED lights and other various elements make this car really uncompromising.

The Porsche 997’s engine comes from the Porsche 964/GT1 model with some improvements of course. Sharp sporting sound is a result of six cylinders with displacement of 3.6 liters and cooperating turbocharger. No surprise that it can produce amazing 480 hp (353 kW) at 6000 rpm and 620 Nm of torque.

This performance potential allows hitting 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds (3.4 seconds with Tiptronic automatic transmission) and the top speed is 311 km/h. There’s a new system VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) developed by BorgWarner to maintain better and perfect work of the turbocharger.

Porsche will be always the symbol of pure dynamics and sporting emotions. Its really the best candidate for the first place in that chart, because this is a machine that never disappoints its owner.

Perfect technical parameters, amazing body and even better power-to-weight ratio – this is the Porsche 911.

SPEEDART BTR-XL 600 PORSCHE 997 TURBO

SpeedART Porsche 997 Turbo
The German company SpeedArt has improved some Porsche cars before, because its their main goal. Also the Porsche 997 Turbo passed this process to be even more powerful and straight sporting machine.

Exterior
The first part of this offer for a few thousands euros is a visual pack for this bright yellow handsome guy. The kit consists of front and rear bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler with aerodynamic wing.

The front bumper has original lines but now with three big openings that are more rounded than stock ones.

Halogen lights are installed in vertical crossbars, but LED technology isn’t something unknown for this car. We can find this technology in case of daylights installed in side openings. The bottom protective molding is also used to coordinate big amounts of flowing air. So this bumper isn’t very different, but now the car looks more aggressive.

Sides of the car include just new side sill extensions. They are quite shifty with its distinctive shape of their end in a form of a tail. It looks like it’s copying fast flowing of the air. Quite smart.

The Porsche’s rear part obtained new presents despite of Christmas aren’t here. Detailed look reveals that there’s a quite big diffuser under the rear bumper including integrated pair of openings copying those ones above them. There are four new rounded exhaust tips of improved exhaust system. We leave the best stuff in the end, because that’s a really smart move of the designers.

The rear trunk has a new sporting spoiler with two integrated openings cooling the engine. The second delicacy is in a form of the massive wing in color of the body or made of ultra light carbon fibers.

Interior
Passengers will e delighted in this case of the Porsche 977 Turbo. They can enjoy the fines materials as carbon, leather or Alcantara, but don’t miss the 340 mm wide F1 sporting steering-wheel including an airbag. The interior includes also unique sporting seats, luxurious rugs with stitched SpeedArt’s badge and aluminum pedals with the same badge.

Perfromance
Almost no tuner is satisfied with a car’s stock performance and SpeedArt isn’t an exception. This Porsche 997 Turbo alias SpeedArt BTR-XL 600 offers five performance stages. The most powerful version offers additional 120 hp to create the final amazing output of 600 hp and 840 Nm of torque.

This rapid performance and torque boost was achieved by the engine‘s adjusted ECU, open sporting intake, modified VTG system and sporting exhaust system (100-cell catalyzer, manifold) and sound switch.

This little acting doesn’t mean only better sound experience, but most importantly also better characteristic. So now you can beat 100 km/h in mad 3.2 seconds and fly at 335 km/h.

This big performance boost requires also improved safety to maintain great ride. So the car’s suspension is adjusted by new components of KW Suspension, H&R or Bilstein and its clearance height can be decreased from 20 to 50 mm.

Even stronger brake system is installed with Brembo vented disc brakes (350 mm in front and at the back too!) and biting 6- or 4-piston brake calipers. And the last spot of today’s presentation – wheels. The car stands on monumental 10-doublespoke black CTS rims (8,5x20“ in front and 11x20“ at the back). They wear Michelin Pilot Sport slick tires.
